Description
Colloidal quantum emitters have emerged as promising candidates as building blocks for quantum telecomunications for their large tunability in synthesis, cristallography, colour, leading to almost lifetime-limited systems. However, due to their large surface to volume ratio, they are still sensitive to charge environment which is further translated into blinking and spectral diffusion, reducing the emission coherence. In this internship, and hopefully PhD, we propose to address the passive and active charge control by embedding the nanocrystals into a 2D van der waals heterostructure.
